An exciting new series to capture children's imaginations and support teachers in their work to improve spelling by using a variety of approaches.
This series is split into five parts. Each part focuses on a specific spelling pattern and comprises an interactive CD and photocopiable book containing teachers’ notes and kinaesthetic activities.
Because children learn to read and spell in different ways, many have a single, preferred learning style whilst others learn using a variety of styles. The aim of this interactive series is to provide opportunities for them to learn to read and spell words with common spelling patterns using the four learning styles: tactile, auditory, visual and kinaesthetic.
The spelling patterns and words addressed in this series are, in the main, taken from those listed in Letters and Sounds – the six-phase teaching programme which forms part of the Primary National Strategy. Where further practice of a spelling pattern is desirable, additional, non-listed, words are included.
